The Voice Of God

The Voice Of God "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out." John 5:28 Both my wife and I were born in Kentucky, and both still have our Kentucky accents. We have lived up north for almost 30 years, and are asked almost daily where we are from, as we both have retained our accents. Did you know that every voice is unique, and that you are the only person that will ever have a voice just like yours. I can recall the voices of my grandparents and many others I have known and loved, and the distinctive voices they had, which is so precious to me. But the voice I am longing to hear is the voice of God, when He calls me from the grave, and tells me to come be with Him. "Very truly, I tell you, the hour is coming, and is now here when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God , and those who hear will live." John 5:25. Did you know that you can hear the voice of God each day, if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit, which lives within you will talk to you through gentle whispers, and direct your paths as you follow Him and obey His commands. It is good to have the Holy Spirit speak to us while we are still living, but someday we will all die, and then whose voice do you want to hear when you are raised from the grave. The message I want you to consider today is whose voice do you want to hear if your life suddenly ended? Do you look forward to hearing God speak to you when your life on this earth ends? I would encourage each of you to think about this, and make sure that your life is one that God will say, "Welcome home, good and faithful servant, with you I am well pleased." When you hear God speak to you in this way, this will be the happiest moment in your life. My Daily Devotional Volume Six May 1 Robert William Brock, Jr.
