Hope For The Future
Hope For The Future
"This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
Acts 1:11
Have you ever thought what life would be like if there was no hope that Jesus would come back, that there would be no rapture, and that you would simply die and cease to exist. That when your life on earth is over there would be nothing else to look forward to. If this would be the case just what hope would we have? Just what is the purpose of life? Only to live and to die. To live and to suffer the trials and tribulations we all face. To live in order to experience pain when a loved one dies. To go through life with mental, and physical pain, due to health issues. To go through life not knowing anything but the present, living for the moment, with no hope for any kind of future. If one would follow this belief and this way of thinking, then of course you could do what you want, when you want, no matter who gets hurt, as you would only be concerned about yourself and your wants and desires. There would be no accountability, for who would you be accountable too. It would not matter if you lied, would be a thief, cheated on your wife, cursed, and committed any other type of sinful behavior. You would only be held accountable to the laws of man, who would be looking out for their own self interest, and not yours. This would be a different world than what it is today. The truth is this: Jesus is coming back to claim His Bride the Church. The Church are those who believe in, and follow Jesus’ teaching according to the Bible. This is the hope that you and I have as believers, that Jesus will return one day, and that you and I will be held accountable for all the things we did or did not do. We know that there will be a future for each of us, after this life is over, either Heaven or Hell awaits us, and we have a choice which one we choose.
