A Message For Dad's

A Message For Dads "Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding." Proverbs 4:1 The message today is for all fathers, to let you know just how important you are to your children. God has given you a great responsibility in caring for your children, and you cannot let time pass you by, and not teach them about God. If you don't do anything else, show them the way to God, as it's your responsibility as a father. I never had a father as I was growing up, as he was killed in World War II, when I was only two years old, and I know personally what it was like growing up without a dad, and not having even one memory to cherish. What any child needs from their father is time to spend with him, where you can give them your undivided attention, and show them that you are sincerely interested in what is going on in their life, and listen to what they have to say. They'll never forget how you show them respect, and build their self esteem, by honoring them in this way. Your children cannot learn to respect themselves, when they've never felt respected. It's your job to be there to show them that they matter, and that they are loved. It's not enough just to tell them that you love them, but you need to show them you love them through your actions. You need to hug them, spend time with them, and make them feel important. They need to be your top priority, and you need to give them your time and attention. Look at your schedule today, and see where you spend your time, and don't let other priorities come before your children. You only have them for a season, and then they are gone, but the memories you make with them will follow them throughout their lives, so make many beautiful memories with them, memories of the good times, memories they will cherish forever.
