Are You A Good Influence

Are You A Good Influence "For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul." Proverbs 2:10 Are you a good representative for Christ? Today, I would like to ask you to consider, if you are a good influence on the people around you. I see many people in church on Sunday morning who are worshipping God, but during the week there is nothing in their daily life to demonstrate that they are a Christian. Our Christian life should not end when we walk out of the church on Sunday morning. It should be evident at all times throughout the week. People should see that we are a Christian, everywhere we go. It only takes a moment of weakness, a careless word, or an ungodly action on our part, to ruin our testimony. One of the reasons this generation is so skeptical of Christians today, is due to the moral failures, and inconsistent lifestyles of those who claim to know Christ. My friends, you and I must change this perception. We must become the real deal. We must learn to guard our heart, and grow in intimacy with Christ on a personal level. We must learn to serve others, and be the influence that God wants us to be. Satan is always plotting to discourage God's people from serving others, and being the influence they need to be. Satan knows that if he can defeat us in our personal relationship with God, or in the call of God for us to serve others, and be an influence on them, that we will never advance the gospel of Jesus in the world. My friends, do not leave God at Church on Sunday, but take Him with you all during the week. Let His light shine brightly in you at all times, so that others can see God through you. Show them that you have something in your life that they need. You must be a representative for Christ, and be an influence for others, throughout your day.
