God's Plan For Peace
God's Plan For Peace
"And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6
Did you know that you can have perfect peace in your life, if you have asked Jesus to be your savior? This does not mean that you will not have any more difficulties in life, however God will provide you with His peace and comfort as you confront them. When God send His son Jesus to the world to die for our sins, He sent a peacemaker, as God's plan for peace was Jesus, as He called Him the Prince of Peace. However, the world has rejected God's plan. There are wars that are going on each day in our lives, that ravage us with worry, stress, and pressures that destroy our peace. We have rejected God's plan for peace, as "Out of the heart--comes evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, and evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness." Mark 7:21-22 This is quite a list, as our real war is a rebellion against the commands of what God wants for us, and therefore it brings us misery and trouble in our daily lives. We need to realize that this is why God sent Jesus, as He wants us to stop our rebellion and be at peace. When Jesus died for our sins, He provided the way for us to be reconciled with God, and have peace in our life. When we have peace with God, we will have peace in our heart, and peace with each other. If you are struggling today, with problems and trials, and you are not at peace, but are just getting by, trying to deal with all these things by yourself, take a few moments to ask Jesus to come into your heart, and give you peace. When you repent of your sins and receive Christ as your Savior, your wars will be over, and your life will be peaceful, as God will extend His peace upon you, and take away all the cares you have, and carry them for you. God's plan for peace is Jesus.
