Pride Humbled

Pride Humbled “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything He does is right and all His ways are just. And those who walk in pride He is able to humble” Daniel 4:37 Are you troubled with being prideful? If you are, you are not alone, as I have always had problems with pride. However, there is a solution to pride, and that is that pride will eventually give way to humility. It may not happen overnight, and it may be a painful process, because pride can be very, very stubborn. It is like an embedded splinter deep in the flesh of your foot, and is hard to remove. You cannot remove it alone, and there is constant throbbing and pain until it is extracted. If you are prideful, it is only a matter of time until you will fall, as pride will catch up with you, and you will realize that you cannot do all things on your own. We are all insecure to some degree, but humility builds security, and pride tears it down. The humble have nothing to hide. When you root out pride, and replace it with humility, you will find that life is much easier and simpler. The process of pride’s removal begins with submission to Christ. It is acknowledging His lordship and ownership over your life, and knowing that He is in control. . He can be trusted, as He holds your life, family, health, and career in His hand. You start by humbly bowing to God, and depending on Him to supply all your needs. When you realize that it is not by your own hands that you have what you have, but it is by God's hands that allowed you to have it, you have then conquered pride When you walk with God, you walk in humility. “All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.’ Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time” (1 Peter 5:5–6).
