It Is Not Too Late

It Is Not Too Late

"He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus."
2nd Thessalonians 1:8

This past week I attended a funeral of a relative, who we were not sure if she had been saved. This is a very frightening thought, as the above scripture tells us that God will punish anyone who does not know Him. To know that God's justice brings punishment on unrepentant sinners, should make everyone reading this devotional, take heed as to what awaits you, if you don't seek God's salvation. When someone dies without knowing Christ, it is too late, and none of us knows when our time will come. God only tells us to be ready, as our life is but for a season, and it could end today, as we are not promised tomorrow. We need to be ready now, and not put off until tomorrow as this may be too late. There is nothing more important than making sure that we are right with God, and have accepted Him into our hearts, and received His salvation. As I have counseled people throughout the years, many have said that they will think about their salvation, and let me know later. The thing that I would like to stress to you right now, is that there may not be a later, as none of us are promised another day. This is not something that can be put off and considered later, as if you die before accepting Christ as your Savior, it will be too late for you. Salvation is such an easy thing. Jesus only requires that you ask Him to forgive your sins, ask Him into your heart, and make Him your Lord and Savior. For anyone who is reading this devotional right now, it is not too late for you to ask Jesus for your salvation. He will welcome you with open arms and guarantee you an eternal life in Heaven. Don't put it off, do it now.
