Are You Blind "If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit." Matthew 15:15 Is our world becoming a nation where the blind are leading the blind? Where is the Godly wisdom that the Bible teaches us that we are to follow, to live a life a life that is pleasing to God? We are abandoning God all across our great nation, and letting Satan have his way. This is a sad statement about the condition of some of our churches and religious groups today. Our pastors and leaders in the church have watered down the truth of God to such an extent that people who attend church are following right down the road with the preachers, and they both will fall. A spiritual blind person cannot lead you into a spiritual relationship with Jesus. The scripture above was perhaps a warning to the people of that day not to follow the scribes and Pharisees, who were seeing all the miracles that Jesus was doing and were totally blind as to who He was. He is saying they are too blind to see this, that which was before their very eyes, why do you follow them. He is also saying, if you follow them, you are just as blind as they are, and you will fall too. We can apply this same warning to our lives today, as signs are everywhere that the second coming of the Lord is near. Many church people are so blinded (like the Pharisees) that they cannot see the signs. The Lord warned about getting in a rut and following without looking around you. This was disaster for them, and for those now who will not open their eyes and see. Many are today blindly following the ways of the world, and compromising the wisdom of God's Holy Word, and are living a life that will result in eternal damnation in Hell. Don't blindly follow the ways of this world, but begin to read God's wisdom, read your Bible daily, pray to God and let Him lead you to an eternal future in heaven.
