Forgive And Forget

Forgive And Forget “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Isaiah 55:6 I have talked to a lot of people these past several years that seem to be holding on to grudges and past hurts that they won't let go. These seem to be difficult for so many people to overcome, and they try to hold on to them, and not forgive and forget these times, which cause them to not be able to experience the peace and joy in their lives that God can provide. We cannot seek God in His fullness when we harbor these grudges and memories of our past. We must be able to let go of these times to fully experience God’s presence. When we fully direct our life to seeking God we will be able to let these hurts and disappointments go, and rid ourselves of the bitterness we have harbored inside. When we seek and turn to God with all our hearts and souls, He will deliver us from this bitterness and hatred that we have stored inside. It is never too late to begin to seek God in our hearts as this is what Jesus died for. David was forever seeking God, and in the scripture below asked God to not let him stray from His commands. Psalm 119:10 “I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.” When we earnestly begin to seek God, He will respond to us, in a way that will change us and release us from our past and also from our sins. When we seek God and accept Him into our hearts, we will want to do His commands, and just as David did, give thanks to Him for all He has provided. We will have God in our hearts and on our minds at all times, and will be searching for opportunities to share with others the peace and joy we have. Seek God today and forget your past hurts and disappointments. Enjoy the presence of God in your life, and depend upon Him for your protection and guidance, and the peace and comfort He provides.
