Avoid False Teachers

Avoid False Teachers

"He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning."
1st John 3:7-8

Over the years I have met several false teachers of the Bible, and seen where these people have been able to influence others around them, and lead them into sinful lifestyles. These people have read and studied the Bible, and know the scriptures very well, but they have skewed and used scriptures out of context to justify their sinful ways. We can see where Satan quoted scripture, and tried to even tempt Jesus. I have also seen organizations use scripture out of context to further their selfish purposes. I have seen false teachers become infiltrated within the church, and occupy leadership positions in evangelical ministries. The apostle Paul, warned, "For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ." 2nd Corinthians 11:13 I'm always amazed at how gullible some people are, and how easily deceived they can be. Just being a wonderful speaker, or a charismatic person, or making a good presentation in front of a crowd, doesn't make what they say right. The most important ingredient of any speech or presentation from a gifted speaker, is to make sure what they are teaching is correct. This is why each of you need to know what the Bible teaches, instead of depending on what others teach. You must gain your own wisdom and understanding about what the Bible says. There will be false teachers everywhere you go, but you must only listen to what God and the Bible says.
