God Guides The Humble

God Guides The Humble

"He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way."
Psalm 25:9

Have you ever had times when you felt you were slipping in your faith and commitment to God? I know I have had many occasions during these past 20 years, where I felt that I was getting farther away from God. Usually these times were happening when I became engrossed in other things in life, and was not spending time with God every day. It is important to commit time to spend with God each day, where you pray and read and study your Bible. If you don't give yourself this time, you will find that you will drift farther and farther away from God. It takes discipline to keep a schedule where you find time for God, but you must realize that this is the most important thing you must have on your schedule. If you keep filling your schedule up with things of the world, and don't have God scheduled you are starting down the road to destruction. Put God first on your schedule, and let all the other things of life fill in the other open spots. Satan wants to fill your schedule with other seemingly important commitments, but don't let this happen. Make God your first priority, and all the other parts of your life will begin to fall into place. I would encourage each of you that when you feel that you are slipping in your faith and your commitment to God, look at the time you have been spending with Him, and put Him first on your schedule, and renew your commitment to Him. When your priorities get straightened out, the other parts of your life will also get straightened out. Let God be part of your life each day, and let Him teach and guide you on the right paths.
