Delight In God Today

"Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalm 37:4

I want to ask you a simple question, "Do you spend time with God each day? The reason I ask you this question, is because throughout the Bible, God tells us that His number one commandment, is to Love Him with all our heart, soul, body and mind. The way we show Him this love, is to spend time with Him each day. The scripture above tells us that if we delight in God, He will give us the desires of our heart. We all have desires, the things that we dream about, the things we crave for, the things that we spend our time working on. God also tells us how we can make these desires become realities. When we seek to know God better, His desires become our desires. When we get closer to God, His will and His plan for our lives becomes much more obvious to us. Our priorities in life begin to change to mesh and blend with what God expects. As we get to know God's will, our eyes become fixed, and focused more on the destination God has for us. We make better decisions as to what is important, and not important in our daily life. The will of God becomes our roadmap, and we plot our course to reach what God has designed for us. When we begin to make God part of our life each day, and delight in Him, things become more clear. Our life becomes more stress free, our problems don't become unbearable, and our burdens become lighter. When we delight in the Lord each day, we have peace in just knowing that He is walking by our side. When we delight in God He watches over us, leads us in the paths we are to follow, and guides us to be the best we can be.
