Battling Satan

Battling Satan

"And now dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming."
1st John 2:28

With the birth of Jesus, and His death and resurrection, the decisive battle against Satan and sin was won. Although Satan did his best to defeat Jesus, he did not have the power and might to win against God's overwhelming power. This victory enabled each person to be forgiven of all their sins, by simply asking Jesus to come into their heart. All the past sins, no matter how bad they are, will be forgiven, and each person will be transformed, and become a new creation in Christ. Even though Satan was defeated in the battle, he continues to fight every day, and does everything he can to block God's work, and lead people astray. Be on the lookout for Satan in your daily life, as he is behind the temptations that you face, as he wants you to succumb to his evil plots and schemes, and to do evil. Each day you will do battle against Satan, but God will provide you with His armor, which you will need to withstand Satan's attacks. This daily battle will continue until Christ comes again, and the war will be complete and total victory will be won. He will usher in a new age at this time, in which sin and death will no longer rule, and cruelty and suffering will no longer exist. If you believe in Jesus Christ, your future is assured, as tomorrow belongs to you, and you are just awaiting the Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and live each day as if He was coming back distant trumpet announcing Christ's return. In the meantime let nothing discourage you. tomorrow, as He might be.
