Read Your Bible

Read Your Bibles

"One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts."
Psalm 145:4

How much time do you spend each day reading your Bible? According to statistics only about 10% of professing Christians have ever read the entire Bible. The Bible is supposed to be our roadmap, our guide, our compass, and our instruction manual, written by God, on how we are to live our life. However, most people don't evidently follow His instructions. Bible scholars tell us that it takes an individual of average reading ability 90 hours to read the entire Bible. That is one hour a day for 3 months, or one half a hour for 6 months, or 15 minutes a day for 12 months. How many things in our lives have we messed up by not reading the instructions. How many marriages have been destroyed because couples have not read their instruction manuals, on what God expects from them in their marriage. How many friendships and relationships have been ruined because people have not read the instruction manual on how to treat others. How much worry, guilt, unforgiveness, bitterness, and anger have you carried around with you, because you have not followed God's instruction manual. I promise you that the time you spend reading the Bible cover to cover will be the most important time of your life. The Bible is the final authority for all the situations that you will ever face in life, as it gives you the wisdom and knowledge of how to deal with everything. How much heartache and pain could have been avoided if people would have only read God's book and followed His instructions. Begin reading it today.
