Preach The Gospel

Preach The Gospel

"He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."
Mark 16:15

I have a cousin, who is a called minister, who just recently came to my town with his wife, to hold a revival, at the local community center. He came to town at his own expense, because he felt that God had called him to come and preach to the lost people in our community. The revival was not well attended, as the largest attendance at one of his services was only about 18 people. He stated that he felt this was a very successful revival, because he had planted a seed in our community, which given time, would grow. His schedule for the rest of the month was going on to other small towns and hold other revivals, which he said would be very similar to the one he held here. This man is not paid by anyone, but does this full time on his own. The collections taken are not enough to buy his food, his housing, his clothes, or cover the cost of his family's living expense. He depends upon God to provide his needs. His main purpose, and the one that God called him to do, was to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. The local community center gives out food to the hungry, and every week there are as many as 25 people coming there to get a meal. Many of these people don't know Jesus. There are 125 churches in our small town, but none of them take the time to come each week to preach and minister to these people. These people don't attend a church on Sunday, but are the ones that need to hear about Jesus. I challenge my readers to find community centers in your town, and get involved and preach the gospel of Jesus to these people.
