Prepare Yourself

"Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him."
Revelation 1:7

When I was in school and knew that a test was to be given on Monday, I would study all weekend as I wanted to make sure I passed it. I believe most people would want to pass, and do good in anything that they know is going to be happening in their future. In the scripture above the Bible is telling us that Jesus is going to be coming. The coming of Jesus is going to be the greatest event that will ever happen to all mankind, and we know about it. There is no college exam, no job interview, no business meeting, that will ever compare. There will never be anything more important than preparing for the greatest event of all ages, the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know when winter is coming and we winterize our cars. As we get older we have our wills made, so that our families will be taken care of. These are a couple of examples as how we prepare for things we know about in our future. However, when it comes to preparing for the greatest event of our life, one that will determine where we will spend all eternity, so many just go about their daily business, "unconcerned". If there is one thing that I could ever impress upon you, it is that you need to prepare for the return of Jesus. You need to immediately begin to prepare by reading His Holy Word, praying to Him and getting your life in order. We don't know when His return will be. It could be tomorrow or next week or next year, but we do know definitely He is returning. Get prepared, do everything you can and be ready.
